Special Force Freeboard is a message board by MyGame.ph which caters mainly to players of SF Philippines. It aims to create a community which would help build up friendshipandgoodwill among the players of SF Philippines, as well as encourage them to help out each other in their online action.
As with every other board out there, here are guidelines that players are encouraged to follow to help create a positive atmosphere which would be helpful in building a community.
Note: Before you read the rules, please understand that the freeboard is a privilege, not a right. (Don’t abuse it)
1. No discussionsorlinks pertaining to private servers, client modifications, bots,orany other third-party programs.
Such practices are universally considered as cheating in any game. Sure, it may get you slightly ahead in the game, but are you willing to sacrifice your morals over such a small matter?
Also, do not post any discussionsorlinks to unlicensed copyrighted material. This includes MP3andAnime episode sites, CD key generatorsorsites that present ways to get them.
The penalty for violating this rule is permanent account suspension. No ifsandbuts.
2. Please post in a civilized manner because courtesy (and other ritualized stupidity) is what separates us from the animals.
This dictum can be broken down into the following:
a.) Keep your tempers under control.
Yes, sometimes things may irritate/offend/outrage you, but that doesn't mean that you can respond in kind.
If anything, exchanging heated words will simply draw people inandcause a flame war, which will more often than not lead to breaking the succeeding rules.
So, even if you didn't start it, you shouldn't take part in a flame war. Keep INRB clean.
b.) Limit your language to PG-13.
Because some of the members may be minors,andbecause excessive lewdness, profanityandsexual innuendo is the sign of a depraved mind. If you absolutely must cross the PG-13 barrier, censor yourself.
Additionally, do not post links, pictures, which contain adult contentandis not suitable for PG-13ormore people.
Any content which is deemed obscene, vulgar,orotherwise inappropriate by the ones in-charge will be subject to butchering at any time without warning. No explanation need be given for the same.
c.) Do not make unwarranted personal attacksorspread false statements about someoneorsomething.
That goes for both personal attacks due to inability to refute someone's argumentsorspreadingandpropagating unconfirmed rumors about a personororganization's alleged actions. The former is a logical fallacyandthe sign of an immature (or petty) mindandthe latter is simply slander.
The penalty of violating these rules will range from post deletionanda warning for minor offenses, to post moderationortemporary suspension for major offenses, to permanent account suspension for repeated and/or serious offenses.
Rumors about Microgaming Technology Corp.andits employees (e.g. GMs) are serious offenses. If there isn't an official statement, then it isn't true.
Insulting a Microgaming Technology Corp. employee is also an offense. If you have any grievances against someone, please send an e-mail to mygame.ph/support.
Disrespectfulorrude comments aboutordirected towards the ModeratorsorAdministrators will also be subject to strict penalty.
If you have any issues with any Moderatorsorany actions taken by the AdministratororModerators, please send a private message to the concerned personorthe Administrator of the Board to discuss the issue. Do not create multiple postsortopics about the same. Doing so will be considered trollingandwill be subject to post deletion if deemed necessary.
3.) Follow the rules of basic netiquette.
(Here's a primer on netiquette for those with time on their hands.)
This applies to *any* online community you visit. Again, another rule that can be broken down into the following directives:
a.) Do not spam.
Spamming refers to posting comments unrelated to a topic, posting pointless responses (such as a simple emoticonora one-liner)andposting outside of the appropriate section.
This also includes advertising unrelated sitesorsoliciting products that have nothing to do with the subject matter.
b.) Post legibly.
DO NOT USE ALL CAPS UNLESS YOU'RE EMPHASIZING A POINT. It's not like a few extra keystrokes (Caps Lock included) will take all that much time to push,andit makes your messages easier to read (and more intelligent).
d.) Do not stray from the topic of the thread.
Out of consideration to the person who started the threadandthe people following it, please do not attempt to derail the discussion with off-topic posts.
Breaking any of these rules will result in a warning. Receive too many warningsandyou may get a temporaryorpermanent suspension, depending on moderator leniency.
e.) Do not answer topics that violate rules, report them instead.
If you see a topic that violates the policiesandrules of SF Boards, don't reply to it instead, report the thread to a moderator for appropriate action.
A user who participates in the rule violation will be punished the same way.
4.) Avoid posting double topics.
The Search function is there for a reason, after all. This is not the same as doubleormultiple replies, when addressing different posts.
5.) No Trolling.
A Troll is a user who makes a post simply to generate argumentsandcause chaos. It is usually an off-topic postora ranting diatribe against a personororganization.
Anyone violating this rule will be suspended, period. Anarchy may be fun, but not in here it isn't.
People who lendoruse other accounts to escape post moderation / mutingoraccount suspension will be banned permanently. All existing punishments will be upgraded to permanent banning.
6.) Alternate IDs
All users are discouraged from creating multiple accounts. If you lost your passwordorif your email address has been deactivated, use the proper facilities found in here instead of making another account. You may also PM the moderatorsandadministrators for this purpose.
If you have been suspended from SF Board temporarily due to breach of rules, DO NOT create an Alternate ID. People who lendoruse other accounts to escape post moderation / mutingoraccount suspension will be banned permanently. All existing punishments will be upgraded to permanent banning.
7.) Bugs, game problemsandCustomer Support issues.
The AdministrationandModerators cannot answer Customer Support related questions.
So if you've been hacked, suspended etc, please contact our Customer Support Team by filing a report in the 1:1 Inquiry helpdesk.
